Christy Cole, CMT, RHIA

Christy was born in Texas, but grew up an Army Brat.  She has lived in Panama, Germany, California and Alabama before moving back to Texas.  She was awarded her Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management from Texas State University in 1998 and currently holds her Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) credential.  She has worked in the medical field for fifteen years, both in the administrative and technical areas.  She has transcribed for over ten years, and has held various positions at MTS of Texas including Account Manager, Quality Assurance (QA) Manager, and is currently Project Manager for the company.  Christy has been part of the medical transcription training program since 2000 when it accepted its first student and currently is the TxMTI Director and continues to serve as an instructor.



Doris Fritcher, RHIT, CCS

Doris began transcribing in 1957. She achieved her Associates degree in Medical Record Technology in 1985 and currently holds her Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) credential.  Doris was employed by the Texas Medical Foundation for 19 years; the last 10 years were spent conducting workshops for hospital and physician office personnel in the fields of international classification of diseases and current procedure terminology. She was an instructor of international classification of diseases in the Health Information Management Department at Texas State University for 4 years. Following retirement, Doris re-entered the healthcare field with MTS of Texas, first as a transcriptionist and now as part of the quality assurance (QA) team.
